If your computer seems to take forever to shut down, this might help speed things up for you.

Press the Windows Logo key and R, or press Start and then Run

Type in: regedit

Press OK

Open the folders shown in the photo below as they are indicated by the four red dots.

When you locate the key "WaitToKillApp", double click on it and change the number 20000 to 1000

Click OK

Now open the next at the next 4 red dots:

When you locate the key "WaitToKillService", double click on it and change the number 20000 to 1000

Click on OK

Close the window by your normal means. (There's no need to Save the information, it does it automatically)

Now shut your PC down and see if it has made any difference.
