If you get annoyed when pop ups appear while you are browsing the Internet, here is a useful way to stop them.

I use Google as my search engine, and they have a version that includes a pop-up stopper. It does it automatically, so you have nothing to do to start it.

Google is, in my opinion, probably the best search engine there is, so maybe you would like to try it.

Right click on this link and choose "Open in New Window". If you just click on it with the left mouse button, you will lose this page you are reading.

When their page opens, choose Services and Tools (3rd line up from the bottom) and then scroll down until you see "Google Toolbar"

The language is set at English, so press Download Google Toolbar

When it asks if you want to Open, Save etc, choose "Open".

This will download the file and automatically open it.

On the page that opens, click "AGREE"

This is the important bit: Click on the button that says "Disable advanced features" and then click Next.

On the following page, choose "Don't close Internet Explorer windows (I will close them myself)".

Click Next and you then have two things in one...... a good search engine, and a pop up stopper as well!
